World Environment Day (WED) is celebrated every year on June 5.
每年的6月5日是世界环境日。
On this day, people are supposed to do good things for the environment and sustainability. These acts help to protect nature and the planet Earth.

The first WED was celebrated in 1974 in the city of Spokane in the USA. Each year WED is hosted in a different country, with events focusing on a central theme.
